“Jurors began deliberating Friday in the case of former Trump White House adviser Steve Bannon, who is charged with contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena from the Jan. 6 select committee,” Politico reports.

“Deliberations began shortly before noon, after prosecutors closed their case with a simple assertion to the jury.”

Said Assistant U.S. Attorney Molly Gaston: “The defendant chose allegiance to Donald Trump over compliance with the law.”
